From the rodeo to symphony, art museums to world-class shopping, Dallas offers something for every taste and budget. It is impossible to list all the things to do in the Dallas area, but we have tried to give you a variety of ideas. The links provided will certainly give you a sample of what makes "Big D" one of the most exciting cities in the nation.

Age of Steam Railroad Museum
The Age of Steam Railroad Museum is a collection of more than 30 pieces of vintage railroad equipment and historic structures located in Fair Park, Dallas, Texas. Exhibits include Pullman sleeping cars, cabooses, massive steam, diesel and electric locomotives and Dallas' oldest remaining depot. Open Wednesday through Sunday 10:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.

Cavanaugh Flight Museum
This museum offers self-guided and volunteer guided tours, as well as rides in World War Two warbirds. There is an extensive aircraft collection, and artwork and artifacts from the First World War through the Vietnam War. Most of the aircraft at this museum are maintained in airworthy condition, and are flown regularly.

Dallas Arboretum
Sixty acres of manicured lawns, trees, flowers, and gardens. Also find fountains, sculptures, and two historic mansions.

Dallas Museum of Art
This spacious gallery features collections ranging from ancient to contemporary periods. The paintings and sculptures exhibit works from Europe, Africa, and Asia.

Dallas World Aquarium
Explore plants, animals and other living creatures from all over the world as you visit the Dallas World Aquarium & Zoological Garden.

Dallas Zoo
The Dallas Zoo is located on 95 acres of land just off I-35E at the Marsalis Avenue exit. There are several specialized exhibits including the new 2-acre Lacerte Family Children's Zoo with wallabies, naked mole-rats and mongooses; Exxon Mobil Endangered Tiger Habitat; and the award-winning 25-acre Wilds of Africa.

Mesquite Championship Rodeo
With exciting pro-cowboy competition, live Texas music and Sonny Bryan's famous chuck wagon BBQ, the Mesquite Championship Rodeo is the perfect place to go for authentic fun.

Movie Studios at Las Colinas
100,000 people visit the studios where movie magic is made. Featuring a starship adventure, a special effects show, and unique memorabilia.

Old City Park
Nestled among 13 wooded acres just south of downtown, Old City Park is composed of 38 historic structures and boasts a working farm, elegant Victorian homes, a school, century commercial buildings.

Pioneer Plaza
Featuring the world's largest bronze monument. This 4.2 acre plaza has forty longhorn steers being driven by three cowboys on horseback.

Sixth Floor Museum at Dealey Plaza
The museum's exhibition area uses historic films, photographs, artifacts and interpretive displays to document the events of the assassination of John F. Kennedy, the findings of the official investigations that followed, and the historical legacy of that national tragedy.

Thanks-Giving Square
An area featuring bells, meditation garden, fountain, and a spiral chapel. Honoring the spirit of gratitude to God.

Uptown Dallas
A historical area with a large collection of shops, galleries, and restaurants. A feature is the McKinney Avenue Trolley which connects this area with downtown.

West End Historical District
A turn of the century district in downtown with more than 80 restaurants, shops and nightclubs.
